Members of the project team MISSION4.0 participated at the international conference “38th International Conference on Production Engineering – Serbia 2021 (ICPE-S2021)” within the 38th Counseling of Production Engineering of Serbia (SPMS 2021), which was held on 14th October, 2021 at the Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak.

Besides the presentation of the research paper entitled “Object detection and tracking in cooperative multi-robot transportation” by the authors Full Professor Dr. Zoran Miljković, Ph.D. student Lazar Đokić, and Associate Professor Dr. Milica Petrović, the other motivation for participating at the mentioned conference was receiving the medal “Vladimir Šolaja” by a member of our team and WPs leader.

The “Vladimir Šolaja” medal was established in the memory of the hundredth anniversary of the birth of this eminent professor and is awarded for the first time in 2021. Despite strict conditions for receiving this award, the first-ever medal winner is Associate Professor Dr. Milica Petrović. The medal presentation ceremony was attended by the Acting Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Economy, Miodrag Dugandžija, Rector at the University of Kragujevac, Full Professor Dr. Nenad Filipović, dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, Full Professor Dr. Danijela Milošević, numerous members of the academic community, people from the industrial sector and students. On behalf of the organizing committee of SPMS 2021, the medal was presented by Associate Prof. Dr. Jelena Baralić. After receiving the award, Associate Prof. Dr. Milica Petrović addressed the audience: “It is an exceptional honor and privilege for me to receive the medal of the legendary Professor Vladimir Šolaja, and I sincerely hope that this award will be a motive for other young researchers to continue their scientific work.” Associate Prof. Dr. Milica Petrović also stated: “I would just like to add one more thing, I am pleased that today’s winners of the charter and plaque “Pavle Stanković” are Full Professor Dr. Miodrag Manić and Full Professor Dr. Milan Zeljković, who were in my Doctoral Dissertation defense committee. I congratulate them from the bottom of my heart. It is a pride and honor to be a part of the community of production engineering in Serbia. I wish you all the best and thank you once again”.
